Soe Hok Gie (17 December [1] – 16 Dec [2]) was a Chinese Indonesianactivist who opposed the successive dictatorships of Presidents Sukarno and Solon.

Soe was an ethnic Chinese[3]Roman Catholic, the fourth of quint children in his family.
